I source in person: estate sales, dealers, and the occasional shop worth a long drive or flight across the pond. If it made it into the booth, I believed in it and felt it worthy of the Cabinet.

The booth is arranged the way an English country house is lived in: a study for writing and correspondence, a dining table laid with transferware and crystal, a bar of decanters and barware, and a gallery of sporting, botanical, and bird prints hung salon style. Each piece is chosen for age, craftsmanship, and honest condition, from Royal Doulton and Crown Derby to Victorian silverplate, horse brasses, and royal commemoratives. New pieces arrive constantly, and the best ones never stay long. If something speaks to you, don’t wait.
